Roseville appoints interim council member

The Roseville City Council appointed an interim council member Monday night to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Tom Kough. Robert Willmus, a 37-year resident and current member of the Parks and Recreation Commission, was appointed by a 3-0 vote. Council member Amy Ihlan abstained from voting. Willmus will serve on the council until November, when the public will elect someone to fill the seat. He has said he has no intention of running for election, but was interested in being a "caretaker" for the position. He will begin his term on June 9.
