White Bear Lake superintendent search down to two
The White Bear Lake School Board has whittled down the pool of superintendent candidates from five to two individuals. Nancy Rajanen and Michael Lovett, both assistant superintendents at area school districts, will each spend today and Tuesday respectively visiting White Bear Lake public schools, giving a presentation at an afternoon reception and participating in a formal interview with the board during the evening. The reception and formal interviews are open to the public. The board plans to meet Wednesday to discuss the finalists and make a decision. Rajanen is assistant superintendent in the Robbinsdale Area Schools District, which includes 13,000 students and 2,000 employees. Lovett is assistant superintendent in the Minnetonka Public Schools District, which includes 8,000 students and 950 employees.
