Duluth government center adds wind turbines

...The wind turbines, which measure 6-feet in diameter, began producing electricity last week. County officials consider it a pilot project and will add up to 16 more turbines on the building's roof if the pilot is successful. Besides their reduced size, the turbines are designed to blend in with the architecture and have a guard designed to keep birds away, said Tom Romundstad, who works in the county's property management department.
