Decision time draws near for Arden Hills project
The city has scheduled an emergency meeting in hopes of approving the County Road 96 and Hwy. 10 project so it can go before the Legislature. ... The city wants to have a $29 million request to the Legislature near the end of the month, even though many in the city government have expressed doubt about getting all that funding in one year. Also, Ramsey County has given the city a three-month deadline to approve a preliminary design so it can continue its own project planning and funding, with construction of the interchange scheduled in 2011. The county has roughly $12 million, including a federal grant, to dedicate to reconstruction of County Road 96 at Hwy. 10.
