Arden Hills: New plan for U.S. 10-96 would reduce impact on mobile home park

The Arden Hills city council tonight will revisit a controversial road construction plan it rejected just a few weeks ago. The council will hold a special work session to discuss the issue, but no action will be taken. The reconstruction of the U.S. 10-County Road 96 intersection has spurred an outcry from residents of a nearby mobile home park because dozens of families face displacement. The original plan for the intersection would have caused the loss of up to 50 homes. But city officials have reviewed the project - weighing citizens' concerns - and will present a new plan tonight that will reduce that number to 36 homes, according to a memo to council members from interim City Administrator Jim Willis.
