Forest Lake, Stillwater teachers get new contracts
Two more east metro school districts have reached new two-year agreements with their teachers for salary and benefits. Teachers in Forest Lake schools will see their pay jump about 4 percent over the next two years, while Stillwater teachers are getting a 5.7 percent salary increase. Teachers in both districts have been working without a contract since July. The new agreements expire in June 2009. Stillwater's pay raises take effect Jan. 28. In the Forest Lake district, the total two-year package - which covers 482 full-time teaching positions - is about a 9.7 percent increase over the old contract.
