More land bought for Eagan development
Nine more Cedar Grove area property owners agreed to sell their property to the city instead of trying to stop the sale in court. Nine more property owners have agreed to sell their land to the city of Eagan without a fight in an eminent domain case that's being used to make way for a new retail and housing development in the Cedar Grove area, city officials said Wednesday. The city will pay $5.33 million for the nine parcels of land based on appraised value, said Tom Hedges, Eagan's city administrator. The property owners could be paid even more if a new three-member compensation panel decides the property is worth more.
