Slow condo sales push Glen Lake development back a year
The Minnetonka City Council on Monday gave the developer of the Glen Lake area in Minnetonka a one-year extension -- until December 2008 -- to begin construction on the project's condominiums. Construction was scheduled to begin in November but not enough of the units were sold in time to allow the work to proceed, developer Tom Wartman said in a news release. "In 30 years of developing residential and commercial property, I have not experienced a market such as the one we've had for the past 12 months," Wartman said.
